Let's get started!

This is the first of what I hope will be a long line of weekly posts. Let me recap what's happen over the last few weeks. Two weeks ago my divorce was finally finalized. YAY!!!!!!!! So I am now, again, Jessica Beckham! But not for long lol. October 18th, 2008 I was proposed to by Clifford Kirk, my boyfriend of almost 3 years. I said yes, of course lol. Realizing that we have no money to have a wedding of any size, I've decided to get married at the courthouse in Lakeport by a judge with only family and close friends in attendance. Afterward we plan on going out for a nice dinner and then hopefully a stay over at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa. Oh, I forgot to mention that we will be getting married at the beginning of December this year. Besides that happy information, October has been a hard month for me. True my birthday is in October, but it is no longer a month I look forward to every year. Here's why: In January of 2007 I found out I was pregnant. The baby's due date was October 12th. 12 weeks later in April I found out I was going to miscarry the baby. Now my future mother-in-law thinks " Oh well, it was just a miscarriage. Get over it." Or I imagine that's what she's thinking at any rate. She doesn't strike me as a very sympathetic person seeing as how when she found out I was miscarring she basically said get over it then. So I feel all alone about this particular subject. It seems like I'm the only one who remembers it at all. And I also feel extremely stupid at still feeling this way over a year later. I feel a desperate need to get pregnant again, but before I do I have to get myself in shape. I weigh about 225lbs. Which makes me about 80lbs overweight and puts me in the obese catagory according to my BMI. I have recently joined The Biggest Loser Club after watching The Biggest Loser on NBC. Starting next week I will be starting the diet portion and each blog will include my thoughts about that as well as my starting weight (225lbs), my current weight and my goal weight. After two weeks of just doing the diet portion I will be starting the exercise part of it. I have high hopes for this and I hope it goes well. Well, that's it for this week. See you all next week!!
